Terms and Conditions
Effective January 1, 2026
Galt Concrete, galtconcrete.com, hello@galtconcrete.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Galt Concrete website and any work you ask us to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work through it.
In these terms, "Galt Concrete," "we" and "us" mean our business, and "you" means the person using the site or hiring us. If a signed written agreement for your job says something different from these terms, the signed agreement wins for that job.
What we do
Galt Concrete is a concrete contractor in Galt, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, pool decks, retaining walls, footings, foundations and slabs, along with decorative and stamped concrete, concrete cutting and foundation raising. We work in Galt and in other cities nearby. You can read more about our crew on our about page and see our services from the home page.
What we say on this website is general information to help you plan. It isn't a quote, a design or engineering advice for your property. What we'll do on your job is set out in your estimate and your written agreement.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and done in person, because the price of concrete work depends on what we find on site. Size, slab thickness, how much old concrete has to come out, the condition of the subgrade, which is the ground the slab sits on, access for trucks and equipment, drainage and the finish you choose all move the number.
An estimate is our best figure based on what we can see and what you tell us. Some things only show up once the old slab is out or the ground is dug, such as soft soil, buried debris, roots or old utility lines. If that happens, we'll stop, explain what we found and agree on any change in price with you before we do the extra work.
An estimate stays good for the time written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, so we may need to update it before you book.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date when you book, and we work hard to keep it. Concrete depends on the weather, though, so we may move a pour if it's raining, too hot or too cold for the concrete to set properly. We'll let you know as early as we can and set a new date with you.
Delays caused by things we can't control, such as weather, supplier or concrete plant delays, permit or inspection timing, or conditions found on site, don't count as a breach of our agreement.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as soon as you can at (209) 865-3675. Your written agreement sets out how any deposit is handled if you cancel, and it may let us charge for materials we've already ordered or work we've already done. Nothing in these terms takes away any right to cancel that the law gives you.
Payment
Payment amounts, any deposit and when each payment is due are set out in your written agreement. Final payment is due when the work is finished as agreed, even if the concrete is still curing, which is the waiting period before the slab is ready for full use.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid. We'll talk to you first, because most payment problems sort themselves out with a phone call.
Your part of the job
We need clear, safe access to the work area on the days we're there, including room for trucks and equipment. Please move vehicles, furniture, planters and anything else in the way before we arrive, and tell us about sprinkler lines, private utility lines, septic systems or anything else buried that we might not know about.
Once a slab is poured, keep people, pets and vehicles off it for the time we tell you, because using it too soon is one of the most common reasons new concrete gets damaged. Follow the care instructions we give you, and keep water draining away from the slab.
What to expect from concrete
Concrete is a natural material, and some things about it are normal and not defects. Small hairline cracks can show up even on a well-built slab, which is why we cut control joints, grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack. Color, texture and finish can vary from one pour to the next, and new concrete won't exactly match older concrete next to it.
We stand behind our work and want you happy with it. Any written warranty for your job is the one in your agreement. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we don't make other promises about the work, including implied promises about fitness for a particular purpose.
No warranty covers damage from things outside our control, such as tree roots, soil movement, earthquakes, flooding, poor drainage on the property, heavy loads the slab wasn't built for, deicing chemicals, lack of care, or changes made by someone else after we finish.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, Galt Concrete isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or lost time. Our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
These limits don't apply where the law says a business can't limit its responsibility, such as for harm caused by gross negligence or on purpose.
Using this website
We try to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but it's provided as is, and we can't promise it's free of errors or always available. Photos show past work and give an idea of what's possible, not a promise that your job will look exactly the same.
The words, photos and design on this site belong to Galt Concrete. Please don't copy them for business use without asking us first. If the site links to another website, we don't control that site and aren't responsible for what's on it.
If we disagree
If something about your job isn't right, call us or reach out through our contact page first. Most problems get fixed quickly once we come out and look at them together.
If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. If that doesn't work, either of us can take the matter to the courts in Sacramento County, California, or to small claims court if the claim qualifies.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the updated version takes effect when it's posted on this page. Changes won't affect a job already covered by a signed agreement unless we both agree in writing.
Questions about these terms
